This post was from my old blog, but I will be transferring my recipes one by one here slowly. Hope you guys enjoy! =D
So firstly, all you got to do is get the ingredients:
5 croissants & 1/2 loaf of baguette (bread)
1 cup of sugar
3 medium eggs
4 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 cups of milk
150g butter
1/3 cup of raisins (optional)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder (optional)
Topping
Vanilla Ice Cream
Preparation! =)
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
2. Tear up the croissants and baguette (bread) into small pieces
3. In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter, but do not allow it to boil. (We want the milk to heat up)
4. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, vanilla essence and beaten eggs.
5. Add baking powder in and mix until smooth.
6. When the milk and butter cooled, add in the mixtures (sugar, vanilla essence, eggs)
7. Add the cinnamon powder and raisins in if desire
8. In a tray (approx 9" by 12" like the one below), place the croissants and baguette (bread) and pour the mixture over it.
9. Let the croissants and baguette (bread) to absorb the mixture for about 10 - 15 mins.
10. Place in oven and bake for 35 minutes or until the top turned brown.
11. Place the tray on a rack to cool down, after cooling down (Bread & Butter pudding will sink in a little)
12. Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream

Things to beware of:
1. After Step 9 of preparation, , if the texture looks too wet, put more bread in to absorb the liquid.
